I hope it will prove to be helpful for students, and will also be a good textbook from which professors can teach. It could also serve as supplementary reading for graduate students to help them achieve a better understanding of the subject matter, or for advanced undergraduate students who want to go into more detail than is generally covered in the undergraduate course. My intention has been to write a comprehensive textbook for the first-year electromagnetism course.
